Mercia Forest Crematorium opens its doors to everyone

Mercia Forest Crematorium is issuing an open invitation to local people to visit its picturesque, peaceful site on Saturday 2nd September.

The crematorium is hosting a community open day between 10am and 3pm when people from Walsall, Wolverhapton, Cannock and the surrounding communities will be able to take a tour of the site.

Local people will have the chance to tour the facilities and take a walk in the landscaped memorial gardens as well as to meet the crematorium team and find out more about the work they do and exceptional care they provide to make each service uniquely personal.

Visitors can also, if they wish, take a tour of the crematory.

Mercia Forest Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 38 sites in England, Scotland and Wales, all set within beautifully-landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Jo Taylor, Manager of Mercia Forest Crematorium, said: “Our open day offers an opportunity for anyone to come and visit our beautiful site and ask any questions they might have, in an informal setting, about what we do here and the support we provide to bereaved families.

“It’s a chance for people to find out about the wide range of farewell services we offer, the exceptional care we provide, and the ways in which we work with families to provide services which are uniquely personal to their loved one.

“No appointment is necessary for the open day, and we very much look forward to welcoming local families to our lovely grounds.”
